Rob Duncan

Principal and Owner

Rob Duncan founded Cascara after a successful 15-year career in forestry. His dual passions for building and working with wood seamlessly oriented him toward the construction industry. With 15 years of running Cascara under his belt, Rob brings tremendous experience managing multifaceted projects and has a unique ability to streamline even the most challenging builds. As a builder his craftsmanship, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities ensure projects run smoothly and end with happy clients.

When not working, Rob can be found tending his bees, riding his bike, digging in his food garden, or out adventuring in the mountains with his wife and kids.

Yes, when entrusting your project to us, our team and collaborators take care of every step along the way. You will have one dedicated point of contact throughout the process, ensuring streamlined decision-making.

Preliminary meetings will allow us to establish the project scope and set you up with a designer or architect to put your vision onto paper.  An interior designer will also work with you to make selections for the look and feel of your finished space. You can leave the rest with us!

Project invoices are typically submitted every two weeks.  Along with a detailed breakdown of the expenses, you’ll also receive a report showing how the project is tracking compared to the estimate.

We stand behind our work. New builds and substantial renovations are covered under the 2-5-10 warranty provided by Travellers Insurance.

Relocation will entirely depend on the scope of the project. We can discuss this during our initial meetings to determine what would work best for you.

Yes, we carry $5 million in liability insurance and are covered by Worksafe BC.

Only if you want to be! It is common for clients to be in other countries or towns while we work. We provide detailed photos of job progress and can have video conferences to update you and walk through the space as necessary.
